December is here and that means you are probably BUSY!
There are many dance rehearsals and performances going on this month – not to mention all of the year-end work to finish before the holidays. Needless to say, things can get hectic. But don’t let that ruin your fun and festivities this month!
With this in mind, here are a few tips to think about:
Remember. It’s a special time.
As a dancer or studio owner, it can be easy to get overwhelmed with work, rehearsals, last-minute shopping, wrapping, and running around this month. If so, the holidays may come and go in a blink without giving them the time they deserve.
As your schedule fills up this month, remember that this is a special time. After all, these holidays only come around once a year. Don’t miss out!
Are you burnt out?
If you are longing for your holiday vacation and thinking about how much you dislike your dance career, business or life, take some time to reflect.
If you are stuck in a rut, now is the perfect time to re-evaluate and start doing what’s important to you. Use this holiday season to figure out what you really want to do and take steps to start making it happen in the New Year.
And if your body is pain, take some time off. By resting and taking care of yourself, you may see your dance career entirely differently!
Whether you celebrate the holiday season or not, try to take a break from work this month. It’s the perfect time to think about your goals, make new ones and get ready to start fresh in 2014!
Thanks for being a part of Dance Full Out this past year. I wish you all the best this holiday season!
